When you visit our website, we may automatically collect IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, time on site, and source of your visit. We use cookies for site functionality only — not for behavioral advertising on pages where you access health information.

3. HIPAA and Protected Health Information

As a covered entity under HIPAA, MyTelePep is required to protect your Protected Health Information (PHI). Your rights regarding PHI are described in detail in our Notice of Privacy Practices. All PHI is stored in a HIPAA-compliant EHR system. All video sessions are conducted on a HIPAA-compliant platform subject to a signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA).

4. Sharing Your Information

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

• With your compounding pharmacy — to fulfill prescriptions written by your provider
• With laboratory services — if lab work is ordered as part of your care
• With Business Associates — vendors who assist with EHR, billing, and platform operations, under signed BAAs
• As required by law — including mandatory reporting to the Florida Department of Health or in response to lawful legal process
• With your authorization — for any other purpose, with your written consent

5. Data Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards including end-to-end encryption for all video consultations, TLS 1.2+ encryption for data in transit, encrypted storage for all PHI at rest, multi-factor authentication for provider and staff access, and annual HIPAA Security Risk Assessments. In the event of a breach involving your PHI, we will notify you as required by HIPAA's Breach Notification Rule and Florida Statute §501.171.

6. Your Privacy Rights

You have the right to access and receive copies of your health information, request corrections to inaccurate records, request restrictions on certain uses and disclosures, receive an accounting of disclosures of your PHI, and file a complaint if you believe your privacy rights have been violated. 7. Cookies and Website Tracking

Our website uses essential cookies for site functionality and may use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our site. We do not use advertising or behavioral tracking cookies on pages where you access your patient account or health information. You may disable cookies in your browser settings.

8. Children's Privacy

9. Retention of Records

We retain medical records in accordance with Florida law and HIPAA requirements — generally a minimum of 5 years from the date of service, or longer if required by applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will post the updated policy with a revised effective date. Material changes affecting your PHI will be communicated as required by HIPAA.
